Hurricane Ike Damage in Northwest Arkansas

800 miles form the coast, Hurricane Ike left hundreds of trees down and thousands without power. |
it was an incredible site to return to our home where trees had been destroyed left and right. I was asked to clear road 7 and 8 through the Madison County Wildlife Management area of some fallen trees. I was excited to be a help!
I loaded up the trailer and headed out on my Kubota L3400 tractor ready to work.
In all, I cleared 31 trees from the road. They were Oak, Maple, Walnut and Pine. Some as big as 24 inches in diameter at the base!
When dealing with trees so large, the most common issue is trying to lift trees that are almost too big for my tractor. This despite the fact that my rear wheels are full of liquid for over 600 pounds of ballast.
