After the fortress we walked through town window shopping and made a stop at Mozart Square where there is a statue of Mozart and we even watched the ice skating. In the middle of the platz, they have an ice skating ring for the holidays. We continued to walk through the streets to Mozart's birthplace, this modest place is where Mozart was born and lived until he was 17. It was to late to go in because they were already closed. We did however get to the see the exterior.
On the way home we drove through the country side looking for a guest house to eat dinner at and we found one at Schoaramer Braustuberl, It was just what we were looking for, a local place non tourist. Our waitress spoke very little English and the menu was in German, so we pulled out our book figured out what we could and took a leap of faith, Boy I am sure glad we did. David and Val both had Wiener Schnitzel with Pommes frites which is breaded pork served with a marmalade and Adam had a hot dog, and I had Roastbraten aus der Ochsenlende which was Beef with Grilled onions and mixed vegetables. We topped it off with Apple Strudel with vanilla ice cream. It was a prefect end to a great day.
